How hot is it at the center of the Earth's core? Surely, no hotter than it has been here (and in many other parts of the country) in Texas. This morning we had a meeting with our new MOPS group at the new park in town. The meeting was for 10 am. Shouldn't be bad, right? On the way there, we passed a bank with 94* - before 10 in the morning! Let's just say, after 35 minutes, we packed up and headed for Chik-fil-A. We looked like we had spent a day at Six Flags - wilted, sweating and beet red.
Our visit to Chik-Fil-A was a milestone for Peyton. He played in the play area with the big kids for the first time. It's not that I would not let him before now, it's just not worked out for him to know what was going on for him to miss. He had a great time and is acting quite liberated for his little 15 month old self!
All of that being said, we had a great morning with our new friends and we are looking forward to many more outings. We are just hoping to have some cooler temps...soon!
