My almost-4-year old is the master of bedtime stall tactics. However, he recently pulled a new one. As we were finishing his prayers he said, "Mama, where is Jesus?" He lives in Heaven with God. "Why?" That's where they live. "Why?" Heaven is the most perfect, beautiful place and that's where they live. "Can we go too?" Sure baby, someday. "When?"
Yikes! How many answers can I give him????
My husband thinks it was strictly a stalling measure, but I have to believe that he is thinking about God/heaven/Jesus to have asked the questions. Now, when he gets in trouble and says, "Jesus tells me what to do..." Obviously, we have a lot to work on, but I'm glad he's keeping the thought process going!
Wonder what we'll experience today?
